FUTURES KNIGHTS NEWS
Parent Newsletter
Dear Futures Families,
In order to keep the students and families safe during drop off and pick and in the morning and afternoon, the following procedures will be in place:
Morning Drop-off and Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures
All students being dropped off and picked up at school must arrive from Rio Linda Boulevard.
All students being dropped off and picked up must be dropped off and picked up inside the parking lot in designated drop-off/pick-up areas in front of Futures High School building D.
All parents leaving the parking lot after dropping off or picking up students will make a left hand turn onto Grace Ave and proceed to the traffic light at Rio Lind and Grace
There will be no right-hand turn onto Grace Ave in order to maintain minimal traffic impact on the residential neighborhood to the south.
We will monitor the process on an ongoing basis to ensure smooth flow of traffic and student safety. We will make any necessary changes to improve the process and will keep families informed of any changes in order to make sure the process is smooth.
Thanks for your cooperation.

NHS Tutoring
As a response to the distance learning and the difficulties that come with it for the students, our school's National Honor Society is launching a new tutoring program! The NHS members have volunteered to help the students of Futures High School with tutoring, including help with homework, explaining the school material, and translating English to Russian speakers. Email futuresnhstutoring@gmail.com to ask for a meeting with an NHS tutor, and we will promptly respond to your request and make an appointment. We want to remind everyone that visiting your teachers' office hours is the first thing you should do before emailing NHS if you need help with tutoring; teachers are there for you to help you during their office hours. 30 Day Unity Challenge
The 30 Day Challenge is an online platform where students and staff can learn more about a key character trait, watch videos, write how they implemented it each day, give digital high-fives, and encourage each other.
This semester we are focusing on unity. With so many things that can divide us, we choose to focus on what unites us. We are looking forward to challenging ourselves and believe that this will be a rewarding experience.
